EXECUTIVE OVERVIEW
Provincial policy framework defining institutional roles, assessment standards, and evidence-based educational policymaking.
The Challenge
Without a clear policy framework, assessment activities can become fragmented and disconnected from wider education priorities. A coherent assessment system requires clarity of purpose, institutional roles and strategic direction.
Our Response
The assignment supported development of an Assessment Policy Framework for PEC and established the overall direction of educational assessment in Punjab.
STRATEGIC IMPACT
Why It Matters
The assignment established a clear policy foundation for strengthening educational assessment across Punjab. By defining the purpose, direction and institutional responsibilities of assessment, the framework created stronger alignment between PEC’s role, education-sector priorities and the wider use of learning evidence. The framework supports more consistent assessment practices, clearer institutional coordination and stronger use of assessment results in policy and planning. It also provides a strategic basis for improving accountability, informing education reform and enabling evidence on student learning to contribute more effectively to decision-making across Punjab’s education system.
